Prep time: 5 mins | Cook time: 10 mins | Servings: 3–4

Born on a taco truck and crafted in small batches, Sauce Everywhere makes specialty chile sauces designed for pure flavor. From marinades, toppings, and table salsas, their blends use authentic ingredients like smoky chipotle chiles and sweet fried shallots to elevate anything on your plate. Sauce Everywhere is a culinary cheat code meant to go, well, everywhere.

Ingredients

The Smoky Bean Base

  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans or pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2-3 tbsp Sauce Everywhere 'Negra' Sauce
  • 2 tbsp warm water (to help mash)
  • 1/4 tsp cumin

The Molten Blanket

  • 1 cup shredded Pepper Jack, Monterey Jack, or Oaxaca cheese
  • 1-2 tbsp Sauce Everywhere Ají Crisp
  • Fresh pico, jalapeños, and a squeeze of lime juice

The Vehicle

  • 1 bag Zack’s Mighty Tortilla Chips

Instructions

1. Mash the Smoky Beans

In a small bowl, add the drained beans, Sauce Everywhere Negra, cumin, and water. Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the beans until they are mostly smooth but still have a bit of texture. The 'Negra' sauce will blend seamlessly into the beans, turning them incredibly savory and smoky.

2. Layer the Skillet

Spread the smoky bean mixture evenly into the bottom of a small oven-safe skillet or baking dish. Top the beans with an even layer of the shredded cheese.

3. Bake and Melt

Pop the skillet into an oven or toaster oven preheated to 400°F (200°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the beans are hot and the cheese is completely melted, bubbly, and slightly browned on top.

4. The Crisp Topping

Carefully remove the skillet from the oven. Immediately drizzle the Sauce Everywhere Ají Crisp right over the hot cheese. Scatter fresh cilantro over the top and hit it with a quick squeeze of fresh lime juice.

The Scoop Strategy

Dig in straight away with your Zack’s Mighty chips. Because these chips are cut from real tortillas, they act like a heavy-duty shovel that can cut through the dense, smoky beans and pull up a massive string of cheese without snapping.
